Our story begins in Italy where Italian culinary arts date back to the 4th Century B.C.E., blending culture, tradition, and hospitality with mouth-watering delicacies that span the centuries. Coming from Napoli (Naples), Armando carries this heritage with him and treats patrons of his two Italian restaurants to a slice of the real Italy - serving authentic Italian foods with Italian hospitality and style along the Gold Coast of Australia.

The warmth you experience at La Roma and Santa Lucia is fueled by Armando's passion for fine food and his skill in creating it. Schooled at Scuola  Alberghiera and trained at some of the best restaurants in Italy, such as Rapallo, Rimini, and Castel Fusano, Armando further refined his skills as chef on some of the world's finest cruise liners such as Galileo Galilei before he and his wife, Murielle settled in Australia.

Mouth-watering starts at the menu. Both Armando and Murielle love cooking authentic Italian dishes from traditional Italian recipes. In Italy, many dishes are a story, titled through recipe and told through ingredients. Yet, in the Italian tradition of culinary artistry, Armando also creates new dishes that blend into modern culture to delight the Australian patrons of his Italian Restaurants.

Australia's Main Beach is home to La Roma, fashioned after Italy's main city, Rome. Murielle is an authority on the recipes of the ancient Romans, having prepared small banquets for students of ancient Rome. At La Roma, you'll feast on authentic Italian cooking as you are surrounded by beauty that pays tribute to "the eternal city".
